TOLO is marking its seventh year on air with a new look this Eid.

“Nafas e Taza”, which translates as “fresh breath” and represents new life, hope and future is the slogan behind the new look for TOLO. The visual expression of TOLO’s new look is a dynamic brand livery, which is flexible enough to be crafted across the many facets of TOLO, inclusive of news, current affairs, sports, entertainment and cultural programming.

TOLO’s new look reflects the growing sophistication of our audiences, who are increasingly demanding of a contemporary look from the organisations they engage with. It also resonates with the attitudes that will take Afghanistan forward - healing, hope, regrowth and regeneration.

AFGHANISTAN’S FIRST 24-HOUR NEWS CHANNEL LAUNCHED

July 9, 2010 – TOLO News, the first dedicated news and current affairs channel in Afghanistan, was launched last week in response to a growing demand for greater and more accessible Dari and Pashto news content in the region.

A part of the MOBY Group network of channels in Afghanistan, the 24-hour satellite channel will reach a potential viewing audience of 120 million Dari / Farsi speakers and 40 million Pashto speakers in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Europe, Asia and parts of North Africa. TOLO News offers a variety of local and international news and current affairs programs including regular news bulletins, documentaries, political commentary, investigative reports, debates and in-depth interviews.

New frequency for TOLO and LEMAR

Please note that we have changed our frequency in Central Asia as follows:

Our frequency has changed from 11,681.85 to 11,495.75
The symbol rate is still 5000
The FEC is still ¾
You do not have to change your dish or direction of your dish
You need to turn the LNB of your satellie dish clockwise or anticlockwise 90 degrees
Everything else is the same
Sound for Tolo is English language (German language is ARMAN FM)

This change is immediate and if people change now their reception will improve. The broadcast on the current frequency will end by Friday 15 August 2008.
